Although this vessel can be used to serve hot tea; due to the porous nature of earthenware clays, fluids should not be stored in the vessel for an extended period of time. After approximately 12 to 24 hours the vessel walls of earthenware can become saturated, and begin to sweat fluids through the exterior walls of the clay.
